Checking up- 1. letting off the gas just slightly to avoid rear ending a car that is going slightly slower then yours. USED IN A SENTENCE- Dale Jr not checking up on Kyle Busch and wrecked him at the fall Richmond race. Carl didn't check up and wrecked Kyle at Bristol Fall race. Michael Waltrip was parked after not checking up on Casey Mears and pushing him to complete another lap after they wrecked. Very Happy
