Hey, they can be our stunters. When they're holding us up for a stunt, they can look up our skirts!

We'll wear the sluttier panties, though, because the regular "spankies" are practically boxers!

Re: Clinty's Weekly Blogs
Goodbye, Talladega!
by Clint Bowyer
Hello friends and fans! I know it's been a couple weeks since I've written so sorry about that. Man, after last week there is a lot to talk about so I wasn't going to let another week go by.
I'm glad to be looking at Talladega in my rear-view mirror, that's for sure. I kind of had a bad feeling about Talladega with the DNF record on the line and all. I rode my motorcycle down with my brothers and when my bike broke down 20 miles into the trip, that bad feeling began to get worse. I'm not overly superstitious, but anyone that is a racer is a little.
That said, the weekend got a lot better once we got on the track. My #29 Holiday Inn Nationwide car was really fast and I was able to make some moves and take the lead around the halfway mark. I felt like I had a chance to win, then that wreck happened. The wreck wasn't my fault, so I didn't let it get me down. After all, my #33 BB&T Impala was even faster and I had qualified in it better than I ever had at Talladega.
I went into Sunday pumped up a little more than normal. RCR hasn't had the best cars at 'dega the past few years, but all four of my teammates and I had cars that qualified well and could actually do some pushing out there. I was rolling off 5th and was a little more nervous than normal. Right before driver introductions I was checking out my heat shield boots that go over my driving shoes and I was having trouble with them. My feet had been getting hot and we added some more material, which had fixed the problem, but it was coming off right there before the race. I was fooling around with them, and the next thing I know the invocation began so I just stood up at attention. My brother, Andy, told me that I had my hat on during the national anthem and I didn't believe him!
I tell you what, I've stood at attention for the star spangled banner almost every Sunday since I was five years old racing motocross. Last weekend had to be the first time I've forgotten to take off my cap. No excuses, that won't happen again.
Once the Cup race began my nerves had calmed down, but when the guys were going four-wide on lap three I started sweating again. Let me tell you, that second crash wasn't any fun at all. I thought I was through it so I was wide open trying to clear the smoke, then I got clipped. There wasn't time to do anything and the next thing I knew I smacked the wall harder than I ever have. It bent the steering column, knocked the transmission through the floor board and kicked the engine back four inches. It was a bad one, guys.
I was banged up a little, but more than anything I was bummed out. I've never crashed out of both races. Then, I thought for sure my DNF record was over. Plus, my damn Harley broke on me! This sport can be really, really tough sometimes. The highs are high, and the lows are the worst. But, I got to thinking about how fast my cars were, and how well we qualified on the Cup side. I thought about the fact that the wreck I was in was started by Matt Kenseth and Jeff Gordon. Two of the best. Hey, restrictor plate racing is the same for everyone. The wrecks are going to happen. We're just lucky we have the safer walls and such incredible cars now a days.
Then, I saw that the boys weren't giving up on fixing the car. I went over and helped them shag parts and do what I could, but they had it under control. I am super proud of those guys for not giving up one bit. They got me back out there and we finished the race with all 8 cylenders still burning. That right there saved the weekend for me.
Pops, Andy, and I rode home Sunday evening and Monday morning and the weather was perfect. We rode Highway 129, called the "Dragon Back" that has 318 turns in 11 miles. The weather was perfect and, man, it was just awesome. I've already put Talladega behind me and we're heading to probably my favorite track in the series.
It's time to get rolling again and there is no better place for me to do that than Richmond. Before I go I want to thank my Helping Hands crew again for being the best on pit road, and I want to thank all you fans for staying in there for me through a couple poor finishes. We'll get it back. Promise.

Eh, I didn't remove my cap at the race during the Anthem. Don't feel bad, Clinty.

Re: Clinty's Weekly Blogs
This one was so awesome for me this week.....it was just so....*sigh*
Him saying how bad the wreck was really made me feel....I dunno....scared and relieved all at the same time...
And how he said "Promise" at the end really meant a lot to me....Promises are something really sacred to me and hearing (okay, reading, haha) him say that really made me feel a connection with him...I know thats insane, but it worked for me!!

That's crap, truly it is.
I'm so sorry, I know how you feel. It's a complete energy drainer.
I hope we can at least cheer you up a little in here. I'm back to work in about 15.
