Krissie's Korner
You know, I gotta give it to the little chick, she can still be a sweetheart when she wants to be. Hehe.

Well the racing for us has gotten much better in the past few weeks. It is nice to see Ryan's team beginning to gel and for them to have a few good finishes. I never used to believe it when adults would say that the older you get the faster the time goes by. Lately, I have really began to see that they were not full of you know what and it really does fly by. Here we are in the beginning of April and I am still wondering how March flew by! Things have been very busy, and I am trying to learn how to cut back and just focus on one project at a time. I have a large problem....I hate to tell people "no" and then I end up way over committed. It drives Ryan nuts! - LOL, that's me and Ron, no joke!
On a different note, Texas was a lot of fun. We were able to catch up with a friend of ours who is battling a rare form of cancer. He has been at the cancer center in Houston, TX for 3 months and has 3 more treatments of chemo to go through before he can go back home to Georgia. The good note is...when we saw him in Texas his color looked great and his spirits were up. When we returned home we received a call that his last body scan came back clear! We will continue to think of him as he has to still undergo three more weeks of treatment.
Easter weekend is approaching and Ryan and I are staying close to home. My grandmother is cooking Easter dinner and I believe we have some family coming in from out of town. The best part about Easter weekend is on Saturday Ryan and I are going up to New Jersey for the last NJ Devils home hockey game. They are playing Carolina Hurricanes, but I am such a huge NJ Hockey fan, I can't wait to go see the new stadium! Ryan is going to do some interactive things during the intermission, although I doubt they will let him drive the Zamboni! Wish my team luck!
I hope everyone has a nice Easter Holiday weekend. Enjoy some time with your family!

Re: Krissie's Korner
Here's her blog on my birthday. Good pick of dates, honey.
February 16, 2009
Welcome Back!
I hope everyone had a nice holiday season and New Year. Ryan and I did get to spend some time at home due to the lack of testing, but the break did go by way too fast! New year, New Team, New Owner, New Sponsor, New number, there are a lot of things we will be adjusting to as the season rolls on. It was difficult for me to follow the 39 car at first for the duels on the racetrack.
Daytona was a little disappointing for us considering how everything went there last season. I have come up with a very positive theory....we won Daytona last year and the rest of our season was less than stellar, so I will assume that because Daytona this season was more frustrating than fun, we are bound to have a great 2009 season!
Things have been going well with Ryan's new Army team and the folks at Stewart Haas Racing have been a lot of fun to work with. Even after the engine failure, tires blowing (won't even comment on that.....puncture! Seriously!) and the 00 wrecking us, the 39 and 14 teams stayed positive and dug deep to get both SHR cars out on the track on time....several times in our case. It is a sign of good things to come for this new race team.
The finish at Daytona is probably not the excitement fans would have liked to have seen, but we can't do anything about mother nature! I was just glad to leave in one piece and get back home. Happy for Matt and Katie Kenseth, congrats to them and all their fans. I will check back in with everyone around next weekends race in California....it is good to be back!

Re: Krissie's Korner
Like I told Larry, I was really turned off by her blog attitude last year. However, I think it was because of the Penske tension. And, of course, none of us in here can blame her for that.
She is much more mellowed out this year and is being super-nice in her blogs. That brings a smile to my face, because I did use to like her a lot in the beginning.
Yea, I have to take the whole spousal part with a grain of salt, but hey, I'm married too, you know?
The only thing I want to be sure of, is that they both love and take care of each other.

Hey Larry!
If we all stick together, I think we may just be able to pull it off - being nice to Krissie this year, that is.

All right, who ate the 29?
I miss 12. Not the car, just the sponsor.

Well, at least Alltell's not in it at all anymore so you dont see someone else in the firesuit.
(Right? Am I wrong? All other phone companies are out, hence the CAT car for Jeff....right? now Im second guessing myself)

LOL, no, you're right about Alltel. Now it's Verizon.
I was gonna say about the 99 one - I hope whoever ate it didn't get poisoned.

Good point.
Speaking of Krissie, I remember when Ryan made fun of her because she couldn't walk and sign autographs at the same time. Hehe.
