2009 Predictions

Okay, everyone, this is for your predictions of 2009. At the end of the year, we can check back and see how we did!

What do you think will happen??

I dont think Mark Martin will do as well as they think he will at HMS.
I think Kyle Busch will still dominate and will give everyone a run for their money.
I think we will see a happier, more refreshed Casey Mears, being at RCR.
I think Carl will continue to be a damn force to fight....possibly the one to fight Jimmie.
I think Ryan and Tony will fight to get up top early on, but will come into stride and will fight for contention in a few months.
And, last but not least, I think Clint will do pretty well in the 33...like Ryan and Tony, it will be a hard fought few months, but the true ability of the driver will shine through before we know it!

hmm, i can say what i wish would happen

I think it's gonna be a tough first few months for the new cars and teams, getting everything in order and all. But hopefully they already have that part taken care of.

However, Clint's gonna do great. He did so well last year, and will only get better from here.

Junior will hopefully get some better tires this year. Darn shame anyhow.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Ryan, but every time I do that, his car screws up, so perhaps I should just stay in a dark corner.

boldest prediction i really think jaun paublo montoya will win the daytona 500 or another restrictor plate race
jr will give the championship a run for his money
jimmie will suck it up
won't see a full field in a couple of races
brad will see a top 10 in some of his starts with hms
clint will win 2or 3 races
unfortunately tony and ryan won't be so hot the first couple of months
kyle and carl we all know what they'll do
did i mention jr winning the championship

I'm sorry, I can't root for JPM. Just looking at him gives me the creeps. I def don't want him to win the Daytona 500 of all races.

Doesn't JimmieJims always suck it up? Or do you mean that he'll suck?

Here's my predictions for this year, Cup Standings~~If JJ doesn't build a big lead early this could be a wide open field including Tony,Ryan,Kevin,JJ Carl,Kyle & Dale jr. all contending for the cup(I didn't mean to leave your Clinty out I just don't know How many races he's running Between NEXTEl & Nationwide series,I feel he will finish very strong in any racs he's in.(Top 5 or better in each.) I unfortunately think Tony & especially Ryan will start slow But be in the thick of things by say July or August,I think they'll make a serious run for team points lead by end of season.Kasey & Matty will win a couple races but I think they are more middle of pack,on the bubble for the chase!Kyle's rep. as a "guy you love to hate" will grow in '09 (Not necessarily a bad thing.) Drivers to watch for~~Clint Boyer(again,hard for me to pick placement,strong in NEXTEL Dominate in Nationwide again. Brad Keslowski big up side from what you guys are saying. Casey Mears~~Decent year but nothing special. Biggest Disappointments~~Joey Logano,JPM(aka.wrecktoya) & Mark Martin~~All 3 out of NASCAR by seasons end! Wish list for 2010~~Danica in NASCAR after Indy win,sorry Drina but NASCAR needs a female driver or two(love to see her & Tony get into a heated arguement,Ha!) That covers it,I think,if not just ask folks!~~Larry

It will open up the gap a little, but remember what happened last year - Jimmie SUCKED at first then look what happened...

But, a good cheerer is forever confident, so here's to Ryan and the others on here...

jj sucks it up all the time yes, but i mean this year that sprint cup isn't going to his house, but to this kid named dale earnhardt jr's house. right where it belongs

Larry, just so you can clear up the fog, Clint will be running Cup full time again this year, and only a partial season in Nationwide. This is because he needs to focus on getting some owners points and stuff for the 33 (Cup). Now you are up to speed!

I'm glad to know that Clint will be more focused on the Cup this year. That'll give him more opportunity to shine.

I get in to see her tomorrow night. So if I can just make it till then, I should be good. Although, Im sure ill have to go back a few more times in addition to my regular schedule, if the accident did anything to damage my back

That's a good idea! I remember when I was in that bad dump truck wreck...I was so sore the next couple of days. I couldn't even walk from one room to the next. Not fun.

i hate florida weather, its been in the 60's for the past few weeks and its suppose to be in the teens friday, and watch saturday will be in the 50's sunday the 70's and monday in the 30's. thats just how florida weather is

Pretty much the same here as well, David. Here in Atlanta it's gonna get down to about 11 tonight and tomorrow night, but then back up in the 40's and 50's by next week I think. At least we don't have 70's. Yeesh, save that for summer.
