I've been to Frankfurt very briefly, just overnight to catch a flight. They've got a bigass train station. There are a lot of Mid-Easterners there who work to go to college and send money back home. I talked with one of them in a restaurant (he was the bartender/waiter and I was the only customer at the time - it was early - they eat late!). He was very courteous and talkative. They were all polite, except that I think that I got chewed out by a native in a store.

Well, the german language isnt one that sounds beautiful, so maybe they were just complimenting you or something!
