The return of the 12 King. You know, I really love it how they have the names on the belts, so you can enjoy the view while you're reading their names.

Ha! Go up to them and say, "Oh, did you know that your name is misspelled on your belt? Right there..." Put your finger on it.

Man, seeing all those names on their suits makes you realize how expensive the sport is!

Re: Ryan Shrine, the Sequel
Okay...is there a dirty reference in there, or do you mean because they have to be embroidered on?
-My brain just took a small vacation cause I just got burned (not physical , the joke kind) big time here at work....I gotta work on a revenge plan for it

Re: Ryan Shrine, the Sequel
Aw, damn, I hate getting burned with jokes. Was it a verbal joke or a practical joke?
No, I just meant that, when you look at firesuits, you see a million different sponsors and think, "Damn! All those people are sponsoring this sport! I now realize how expensive NASCAR is." Nah, it was 100% innocent, believe it or not.

Ahhhh good good. I was gonna be supremely disappointed with my brain if I couldnt get the dirty reference with it...
It was a verbal one...along the lines of a lawyer here who we kinda make fun of who mentioned he "got lucky" this morning....and her saying that maybe I was the reason he did.....
I gotta get a real good one for that....BALLS TO THE WALL

Re: Ryan Shrine, the Sequel
Ryan's so cool. He and "her" give to charities and adopt families for the holidays instead of exchanging gifts.
That's what I asked of Ron this year, and he liked that idea. I'm going to work on more stuff at my church. One of my Women's Guild friends, Lisa, is in a group of 4 ladies who are adopting a family, and she asked me if I wanted to chip in about $20.
Awwww! This Donna chick is TOO awesome, I swear!

We do that at work, too. We adopt a family every year and all of us give money and then us assistants always give gifts and food too. Its so gratifying; we take it to the family just before Christmas and it always makes a tear form in your eye...

Re: Ryan Shrine, the Sequel
That's great, Steph!!!
I remember when I used to give gifts to child cancer patients and their siblings, whose families couldn't afford to get them gifts due to the medical expenses. I'll never forget the 2-hour phone conversation one mother and I had. Then another family sent me holiday pics of the 2 boys - OMG! The hardest part - is when you re-visit the Hugs and Hope website to see the kids who didn't make it to next Christmas.
Tears of joy is a great way to describe it.
