For me, the main problem is that he is all work and no play. He seriously never even jokes about anything. And Jimmie does the same thing. When they interviewed everyone at the Shootout and they were all joking about partying with the beer and stuff, his answer was about the lack of testing, how the car was, etc.

FUCK OFF AND TALK NORMAL!! All the work talk is just too much when you cant let go and joke once in awhile

Must be Chad's influence. Hell, Chad probably tells/orders Jimmie to talk like that. I remember Junior saying that he told Jimmie to be more himself in front of the cameras - laid back and very nice.
